Product Description:

Mesalt consists of a soft viscose/polyester nonwoven material impregnated with 20% w/w sodium chloride. Mesalt absorbs wound exudate and the sodium chloride is released. Mesalt becomes hypertonic, thereby exudate, bacteria and necrotic material is drawn into the dressing, facilitating the natural wound healing process.

Areas of Use:

Management of moderate to heavily exuding non-infected/infected wounds such as pressure ulcers, foot ulcers and deep wound management e.g. cavity wounds and fistulas.

• Wounds with high levels of wound fluid
• Infected wounds in the inflammatory phase
• Deep cavity wounds
