Our Yankauer Suction Handles are available with straight and crown tips and with and without vents and with an on/off switch. Each comes with a step connectorend to ensure a firm connection to any standard suction tubing. They are also available as standard and double wrapped versions.

FOR USE BY A QUALIFIED CLINICIAN. THE BELOW IS ONLY A SUGGESTION AND FACILITY PROTOCOL MUST BE FOLLOWED FOR ALL CLINICAL PROCEDURES WHERE THIS PRODUCT IS USED.
Caution:
- Contact with electrosurgical electrodes or laser surgery beams must be avoided.
- DO NOT apply continuous suction to mucosal tissue.
- Not to be used as retractors.
- Keep away from cutting implements while suctioning
- Single use only.
- DO NOT re-use or re-sterilise.
- DO NOT store at extreme temperatures and humidity, avoid direct sunlight.
- Handle with care.
- STERILE [EO], DO NOT use if the package or product has been damaged or contaminated.
- EU Notice: any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device should be reported to the manufacture and the competent authority of the Member State in which the user and /or patient is established.
Steps:
- Whilst maintaining aseptic technique, open the packaging at the connecting end of the Yankauer Handle to expose the connection end only.
- Connect the Yankauer Handle to the hexagon connector on the selected suction tubing.
- Connect the distal end of the suction tubing to the suction receptacle.
- Ensure all connections are secure.
- Remove packaging from Yankauer Handle and test suction through the Yankauer handle prior to use.
Precautions:
For Paediatric Yankauer Handles when connecting to suction tubing: insert the handle end through the hexagon connector to engage directly into the suction tubing. Ensure connection is secure before use.
